Use Context Bank Across Tools

Keep memories, skills, soul, and project knowledge in one Context Bank that Losi and connected tools can reuse.

Context Bank is the shared place for lasting context in Losi. It holds the facts, preferences, skills, and project knowledge you do not want to re-explain in every new chat or every other AI tool.

Use it when you want Losi to remember how you work, keep project truth attached to Spaces, and optionally sync that same context to assistants you connect through MCP or API.

What Context Bank is

Context Bank is the memory layer behind chat, Spaces, search, and connected tools. Save something once, and Losi can keep using it instead of starting from a blank slate.

Personal and workspace memories, Space knowledge, skills, soul, and the knowledge graph stay available across Losi and the tools you connect.

What gets stored

  • Personal memories: durable facts and preferences about you, managed under Settings > Privacy > Memories.
  • Workspace memories: shared standing context for the workspace, under Settings > Workspace.
  • Space memories: project-specific facts inside a Space’s settings, plus notes, tasks, and files in that Space.
  • Skills: reusable ways of working you add through Integrations.
  • Soul (Losi’s Identity): how Losi should talk and act with you, under Settings > Losi’s Identity.
  • Knowledge graph: relationships between people, Spaces, notes, tasks, and related work that help Losi find connected context.
  • Imported history: memories and conversations you bring over from ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

Review memories before saving anything sensitive. You can edit or delete personal memories anytime from Settings.

Use it in chat and Spaces

  • Useful chat prompts: "Use my saved preferences for tone and format."
  • Useful Space prompts: "Using this Space’s goals and memories, draft the next-week plan."
  • If a Space should stay project-only, turn on "Use only this Space’s memories in Space chats" in Space settings.
  • Ask Losi what it already knows about a project, then correct anything that is wrong.
1

Add a few personal memories

Open Settings, keep Memories on, and add short durable facts such as where you live, how you prefer replies, or recurring constraints.

2

Shape Losi’s Identity

Open Settings > Losi’s Identity and build or edit soul so Losi knows the tone, boundaries, and working style you want across conversations.

3

Put project facts in the right Space

In a Space, open Space settings and add Space Memories for goals, audience, constraints, and decisions that should apply to chats in that project.

4

Ask Losi to use the saved context

In chat or a Space chat, ask for work that depends on what you already saved — draft in your usual voice, plan from Space goals, or reuse a preference.

How MCP and API sync helps

When you connect another assistant or app to Losi, Context Bank is what lets that tool search and reuse the same memories, skills, soul, Spaces knowledge, and related records — instead of asking you to paste context again.

Interactive apps can ask you to approve access. Servers and automations can use a workspace API key from Settings > API Access. For deeper setup, open the Context Bank docs or the Integrations, API, and MCP guide.

1

Keep working in Losi as usual

Write, organize, and save context in chat and Spaces first. Connected tools are most useful when Context Bank already has real material.

2

Connect the outside tool

Use Settings > API Access for a key, or follow /docs/context-bank when the other app connects through MCP or sign-in approval.

3

Ask the other tool to use Losi context

In Cursor, Claude, Codex, or another connected client, ask it to search or use your Losi memories, Spaces, skills, or soul instead of starting blank.

Use Integrations when Losi should call outside tools. Use Context Bank sync when outside tools should read Losi’s context.

Starter checklist

1

Save three personal memories

Add durable facts under Settings > Privacy > Memories — the kind of details you are tired of repeating.

2

Set Losi’s Identity

Spend a few minutes in Settings > Losi’s Identity so replies match your preferred style.

3

Seed one Space

Open an active Space, add Space Memories for the project goal and constraints, then ask Losi to plan from that context.

4

Import what you already taught another AI

If useful memories still live in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, bring them over from /import or Settings > Imports.

5

Connect one outside tool when you need it

When you want the same context in another app, open Settings > API Access or /docs/context-bank and connect with MCP or API.
