Voice notes
Dictate and Transcribe Voice Notes
Record a voice note or upload audio in chat, review the transcript, then send the text with the original recording attached.
Voice notes are useful when you are walking, commuting, or thinking out loud faster than you can type. Losi records the audio, transcribes it, and lets you review the text before you send.
Open /chat, use the microphone control in the composer, or attach an audio file. Keep the first note short so the transcript is easy to edit.
When voice notes help
- Capture a meeting follow-up or brainstorm without stopping to type.
- Dictate a longer prompt, then tighten the transcript before sending.
- Upload an existing voice memo so the chat has both text and playback.
- Keep the original audio attached when tone or emphasis matters.
Record a voice note in chat
Open chat
Go to /chat and open an existing conversation, or start a new one.
Tap the microphone
In the composer, use the microphone control to start voice input. Allow microphone access if the browser asks.
Speak, then stop
Talk through the request. Stop when you are done so Losi can upload and transcribe the recording.
Review, edit, and send
Check the transcript in the voice note preview, edit any names or details that need fixing, then send. The message includes the transcript plus the audio attachment for playback.
Upload an audio file instead
Attach the file
In /chat, use the attachment control and choose an audio file such as MP3, WAV, M4A, or WebM.
Let Losi process it
Losi uploads the audio and prepares it for the conversation. Some formats are converted before transcription so the chat can use them reliably.
Ask what you need next
Send the audio with a clear request such as "Summarize this voice memo into tasks" or "Turn this into a Space note with next steps."
Practical tips
- Keep early recordings short so the transcript is easy to skim and correct.
- Edit names, product terms, and dates before you send if the transcript missed them.
- After sending, ask Losi to turn the note into tasks, a Space note, or a draft reply.
- Use voice notes for capture; switch back to typing when you need precise short edits.
